ambiguous  adj.  unclear or doubtful in meaning  /   ‘ambi’ = both
appease     v.     pacify or soothe; relieve    / often used  appease one’s   
                         hunger or appease the masses
divergent   adj.   differing; deviating   /    ‘di’ = two   v. diverge; n. divergence 
euphemism  n.   a mild expression in place of an unpleasant one, pleasant
                        saying instead of a blunt one / ‘eu’ = good, well     
                        eg:  he passed away for he died
expedite      v.    to hasten, to speed up /adj. expeditious 
adv. expeditiously      
                        expedite delivery of CD’s
histrionic   adj.   Deliberate display of emotion for effect
notoriety     n.    the state of being known for something negative; disrepute, ill
                        fame /  adj. notorious   adv. -ly
scrupulous  adj. conscientious; honorable; extremely thorough / n. scruple(s)
                        (ethical objection to certain actions; principles)  unscrupulous –                         contemptuous of what is right or honorable     adv.  -ly
succinct    adj.  brief ; clearly expressed in few words / refers to something
                      spoken or stated;   adv. –ly   very similar to concise
terse        adj.  concise and abrupt    /  adv.  –ly     distinguished from succinct
                      by a bit of an angry attitude
